When life is wild with hurt, destruction, & calamity, there is a peace in the midst of it, if you choose it!
Ever wonder why some people can calmly sail through life, through the worst of storms, with the greatest of setbacks, and still remain calm in the midst of it? You witness them in horrific situations and you say to yourself; "If that were me I wouldn't be able to cope". They appear stronger than us.
Romans 5:3-4 "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope."
When you accept this peace, all hell can be breaking loose and you see it with different eyes. You see child's play in the actions taken against you and sympathy for those who harmed you accidentally. But the greatest gift given you is the ability to forgive those people unconditionally. Also to assist those that feel they need justice and help them achieve it, not do it for them.
Who would have thought that all the sting in your problems could be wiped away by honestly and tearfully saying "Jesus, I accept you into my heart".
