Being Alone

Is it really so bad when you find yourself alone?  I think the ultimate is when we are comfortable enough in our own skin where we really don't need people around us for us to feel good about ourself.  There is a time when we need people with us, but I'm speaking of the times when you just need someone else in the house or else we don't feel right.  The times when you yell out, "can you hear me, are you there"?  And someone answers.  It's a good feeling to know we are not alone even if we aren't doing anything together at the moment.

I wonder how God feels when he says, "can you hear me"?  But we are so wrapped up in our own deficiencies that we aren't interested because my focus is on "me" and my problems.  That's why God wants us to be alone sometimes, so He can speak and we can hear.  The goal is to be comfortable being alone so that can happen!!
