Hurting

No one knows the amount of pain and anguish we are going through, the buried hurts, caustic feelings, and festering pride.  We keep it concealed quite well, but on occasion we slip and some of that poison comes oozing out when we least expect it.  We form axioms based on our own situation, therefore it must be true of other people.

Colossians 3:10 . . . put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

What we don't realize is that our axioms are simply unfair judgements of others.  They probably don't apply to others quite the same way they apply to us, but that's all we have to work with . . . unless we surrender that pain and pride to God.
