Unclean

Recovery is an interesting process, mostly because we have a hard time believing we are forgiven.
To top it off we have a hard time ignoring what other believe about us, mostly because we tend to agree with them.  Getting over the ridge of unbelief in ourselves is the most difficult task in the process of healing.

Matthew 9 “The voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’

If the Bible says we are forgiven (when we are truly remorseful for our deeds) and God says we are forgiven (when we pray to him for forgiveness), then why would we doubt that it has happened? Probably because there wasn't a grandiose display of forgiveness, the same way there was an over the top reaction to our deeds.

Just a note to say that, "After confession, the voices of condemnation we hear are not from God".
