The word melee has 2 opposing meanings.
1/ is the carnage created by of a crowd of people,
2/ a cluster of diamonds crowded together.
Either way, its a crowd!
The first one is caused by individuals following the example set by a leader who is a bit off base with reality, and certainly peace is not in their thinking. The actions created by this thinking are detrimental to other people, willfully or accidentally. Calm is out the window and selfishness is at the forefront. When one gets lost, no one really cares because the excitement is more important.
Number 2 is the result of an artist organizing a group of shining precisely cut diamonds into a rhythmic balance and clustered tightly together in extremely unique patterns. When one of the diamonds gets lost, the owner goes looking for it.
#1 sounds like an unruly world & #2 sounds like God and His family
