When we judge others, it's a signal that something inside of us is still rotting. We're ignoring it or we've cleared away most of the visible debris in our emotional life. . . but we can't cover up the harsh cruel realities that we spew because of internal bitterness, unforgiveness, or rancid pride!
Judgement of others is a cover-up for us, to take the focus off of our own failings. If we gossip about others weaknesses in order to feel accepted, hurl unfair judgements at them behind their back, shun them, or wince our eyes at them, without talking to them about it, then WE are the vessel of evil intentions, not them.
The enemy would like nothing more than to see a group of believers gnaw at each other, causing each other to fall from grace.
2 Timothy 2:25-26 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
The Bible also says that if we give the devil a foothold then he has the right to take control of our thinking.
