Uncertainty

Being uncertain can render you motionless.  Our relationships, finances, health, job, even our direction in life can have extreme detrimental effects on our well-being!  Too scared to move forward or sideways for fear of failing.  Thinking we are a loser or failure if we step backward.  The greater hinderance is reaching out to others for fear of rejection or judgement.

Uncertainty is so very real in our minds that it can kill our creativity, ambition, trick us into thinking we are something else, and flatten who we really are.

But the Bible tells us to thrive on uncertainty, to find joy in all things and situations, and to remember to thank God for our position in life.  A life in recovery from hurts, habits, and hang-ups is one that needs to be ready for uncertainty and to step out of the ruts we made for ourselves.

Self-help groups like Celebrate Recovery & Life's Healing Choices help us to realize that God can change our whole life is the blink of an eye if He thinks we can handle it, so we should start thinking that way.
